Hazel’s Going-Home Outfit!
When the nurse came into our room and said we were free to take Hazel home, I was more than a little terrified.
I kept expecting someone to stop us on our walk out of the hospital and ask to see my credentials….to ask for some proof that I had any the requisite skills to parent this little person
Sure I may not be good at changing a diaper (yet) or getting a tight swaddle (yet)
but I know how to dress my Baby Girl
and that has got to count for something!
After the first few days of her life spent in standard-issue undershirts and her only accessory being the hospital ID band, heading out into the world seemed like a perfect excuse to get her all gussied up!
Hazel’s first outfit consisted of an Italian jacket, baby couture dressing gown with booties and a fabulous little hat.
Such a fancy baby!
and already, Hazel has a team of dressers (full disclosure, it takes at least this many to wrangle a squirming baby into real-people clothes!)
and there you have it, Baby’s first ensemble!
