All Songs Considered’s “The Year In Music, 2011”. Wow, it’s that time again, isn’t it: time for year end wrap-ups! Now, I realize I have straight-up busted taste in music, so I am certainly not posting this to pretend otherwise - rather it’s just a reblog so I remember to listen to this podcast tomorrow at work and a self-reminder about the jams that filled my headphones in 2011. This year I gravitated towards records that soothed Z when she was just a wee-little thing (Cabbage Patch Dreams, LCD SoundSystem, Pete’s Dragon) …but I also discovered some new & new-to-me jams c/o my husband and my musical tastemakers, M & Chr. A few of my favorites - St. Vincent, Lykke Li, Mumford & Son’s, Nina Simone and of course, Ms. Beyonce! What about you?  Best songs/albums of the year? [via: fishy]
