Smile Friday: A different kind of Camera point
This photo was snapped almost exactly one year ago during our high seas sailing adventure in the British Virgin Islands.   when Simon took the picture, he asked me what the devil I was pointing at…the ocean?  a boat?  the sky?
My reply: ALL OF IT!  It’s a general point directed at all the beauty!
The week we spent sailing in the Caribbean was, in a word, perfect.  We went with Georgina & Captain John and two other couples. I ended up being the only girl on the boat who was NOT expecting a baby.  Sure..that meant I got to enjoy the rum punch, body surfing in the bubbly brook & leaping off the top of our boat, but truth be told I really wished I was sidelined with the other mamas-to-be.
During our trip I remember thinking two things:
I am so thankful for a week in paradise
I wish I was pregnant
Here we are, one year later….take those thoughts and reverse them:
I am so thankful I am pregnant
I wish I was spending a week in paradise
I am certainly not complaining, but this line of thinking reminded me of a lyric:

You can’t always get what you want, but if you try you might just find….you get what you need.

Agreed!
