Let’s call this one a Friday Round-Up…
Some moments from my week:
A Mother’s Day Brunch (observed) with Mom H. at Sixteen in the Trump. The spread was delicious!  The views are breathtaking.  The staff addressed Hazel as Princess (which we found funnier than we maybe should have….Hazel is a lot of things, but “Princess” just didn’t quite fit).  Good stuff.
After 2 weeks (which felt more like forever) of some pretty nasty teething…complete with a fever, earache and general crabiness, Her molars are in and Hazel is finally back to her sweet sweet self.
We found smiley face cookies at the Division St. Farmers market.  These were a childhood favorite and just the sight of the bright yellow treats took me back to the days of stopping by Flossmoor Bakery with my little sis on our way home from school.  I plan on buying another one (or two) at the market on Saturday.
Hazel learned how to sit on the curb this week (who knew that was a skill that required developing).  She now takes her books outside for some al fresco reading. It is adorable.
I chopped 6 inches off my hair.  Woah. My stylist said that as a general rule of thumb, she won’t let pregnant chicks make drastic hair changes (because really - what’s worse than a pregnant girl crying in the salon chair) but I must have sounded confident and stable when I told her to Cut Cut!  I think I like it.
It has been just wonderful having Mom H. in town.  Last night she poured wine for her & Simon and shook me up a mocktail (virgin cosmo - complete with a twist).  It was a very happy hour.
Just a few moments worth capturing
