One of the lesser discussed side effect of being a parent is how you have Sesame Street songs running on loop through your head at any given time.

Apropos of nothing, I find myself humming the chorus of Elmo’s Song while sitting at my desk (la la la la) and doing a mean rendition of the entire “Follow that Bird” soundtrack while walking to work.

But I’m not complaining - those muppets (and their famous friends) crank out some serious JAMS.

Right now this is my favorite of Hazel’s top pick YouTube vids.

I don’t know if it is Will.I.Am’s empowering lyrics or Grover’s headbanging, but I am pretty sure I like this one just as much as my 15 month old daughter.

(I am trying to teach her to air-drum along
which, once mastered, will be AWESOME.)

Seriously.  Watch it.
