Have you guys heard of Borrow Baby Couture?
It is a brand new Rent the Runway type of business….for little tots
and is more or less rocking my world!
A Mother’s Sartorial Dilemma:
Little kids outgrow their clothes in like a nano-second which means even the most urbane of babies would be hard-pressed to have enough social engagements on their calendar to drive down the cost-per-wear of a fancy frock.
However, there are certain special occasions that just demand a proper party dress (am I right?)…
Enter: Borrow Baby Couture!
How does it work?
- When you are looking for a special piece for your baby girl (or niece or grand daughter or best friend’s nugget) - visit Borrow Baby Couture, pick out a dream dress (or jacket or sweater) and rent it for the week.
- Rental prices range from about $25-$55 (with a few of the fancier lines being a little more expensive)
- They come sized 9 months - 4 years.
- You have the option of selecting pieces in nearly new or brand-new (for a small fee) condition. Brilliant!
They carry some impressive designers including Stella McCartney, Fendi, Simoneta and Zoe (with more lines on the way!) and their pieces are perfect for an array of events.
I am thinking Hazel could wear this to H2’s Baptism.
This for her first baby shower as a guest (rather than the guest of honor)
and maybe this for Grandma & Grandpa’s anniversary dinner.
As a full-time working mama, I also have to give Borrow Baby Couture props for the convenience factor. Anything that keeps me from having to fight the Michigan Ave shopping crowds….with a stroller….on a Saturday….earns mad bonus points in my book.
Plus, I (you) don’t have to deal with cleaning the dress after your pipsqueak has worn it - just mail it back in the prepaid box they send you and BBC will take care of all the laundering. Hallelujah & High Fives all aronud.
Never* to the ever could I be able to justify buying a designer dress for my baby (*Never say never…and designer shoes don’t count)
But with Borrow Baby Couture I feel like I have access to a Harper Beckham’s closet at a price point that works for those of us who, say, weren’t once a Spice Girl.
Check out Borrow Baby Couture!
*Disclosure: This is a Sponsored post….
But partnership or not, I really am BBC’s biggest fan. Lucky Hazel :)
