“Life is fragile, handle with Prayer.” Things didn’t go quite as we hoped yesterday. My Mimi’s heart is sick…or sicker than we thought…And so today she has to have bypass surgery. The family came in to be with her.She has 7 children (who all have children of their own)….so you can imagine the big Italian Cheering Section that has gathered in the waiting room for her.   My Mimi is one tough cookie with an unflappable spirit (and the ability to keep her lipstick perfectly applied….even as she is being wheeled into surgery).  I have no doubt that when she makes it through this ordeal she will be the highest performing patient-in-recovery that her surgeons have ever seen!
